This simple but practical Queen 60-inch platform bed is great value for your money, as it does not require a box spring. In addition, the decorative legs will give your bedroom a stylish touch. It can be combined with all South Shore’s collections available in Chocolate finish. It is designed to support a maximum weight of 500-pound. It is also available in Pure Black, Pure White or Natural Maple finish. It measures 82-1/2-inch long by 63-1/2-inch wide by 13-1/2-inch high. It is delivered in a box measuring 83-1/4-inch by 18-inch by 11-inch weighing 131-pound. Made of non-toxic recycled CARB2 compliant laminated particle panels. Complete assembly required by 2 adults. Tools are not included. Made in Canada

Received this very heavy package. It was not chocolate but BLACK. Since it was shipped from Canada and very heavy I put it together as it would be much to difficult and expensive to ship it back and get the RIGHT color. It was also not solid wood. The "chocolate" color (black in my case) is sticker wood over compressed wood, not solid wood. I guess I should have read more about this product. I forsee the sticker wood peeling off relatively easy. It was pretty easy to put together however.

I have built many furniture products in the past, mostly from Ikea, but this bed wasn't anything different. I have owned this bed since the beginning of February. Last night, in the middle of the night - it decided to fall apart, so I got up fixed the mattress and the boards. It appeared the two middle pieces that support the slats of ply wood which then support the mattress, were bent inward and fell off the place holders. So I fixed it, hoping that was all I'd have to deal with. Then at 5am - the entire bed fell through the frame so that it was now laying lopsided in one half of the frame. We just finished taking the mattress off and taking the bed apart - one of the support beams were split in half, one came out of the side of the bed completely. Needless to say this product is now in pieces ready for trash day, unfortunately we just missed it.I bought the dresser and the headboard that go with this bed. The dresser was a pain to put together but all in all we haven't had any incidents similar to the bed above. The headboard doesn't have the correct pieces to put it together, and even then it doesn't look like it will be flush with the bed.

Arrived on time and delivered as requested. Had a little problem putting together. Had to drill starter holes for the screws on the inner support. The finished product is beautiful and staying together so far.
