I needed a platform bed for a small bedroom and this bed was a perfect fit! It was easy to put together and is very sturdy! I'm very happy with my purchase and may purchase another one for my small guest room. I also loved the pretty light maple color, especially in a small room, it helps keep the room from looking too crowded!

I gave this bed 4 stars instead of five because I only had one problem with it. My 14-year old son and I assembled it, and the planks were not all "exactly" the same length. However, since they were not off by much, I didn't bother to send the 256 pound package back to the seller. Now that my bed is all put together, I am satisfied. It looks great in my bedroom.I would like to help anyone who is going to be putting this bed together. Please, please, please do yourself a favor and line all of the planks up against the wall with the letter facing you, and separate the short screws from the long ones before you begin. The long screws are for screwing the planks onto the frame. The short screws are for screwing on the trim of the bed once it's put together.Parts "M" are the top (head) and bottom (foot) pieces of the base. Parts "H" go in between and function as slacks. Parts "E" are the sides of the base. Be sure to place the tiny, square tabs onto the bottom of each plank as shown on the instructions.Connect each end of the "H"s to the inside of the "E"s first, using the black plugs. Then connect the ends of the "E"s to the ends of the "M"s. Once you have connected these, the base frame is fully assembled.Two of the "B" planks will be the end pieces of the platform on both sides. These two pieces have more holes than the other "B" pieces that fill in the middle. The five holes on these two planks that are in a straight line go on the outer edge. These are the holes you will screw the trim to.Take one of the end "B" pieces and lay it onto of the base. It is supposed to overlap the edge of the frame. You measure it by taking the two small blocks (that come with it) and placing them underneath the plank. The way I did it was take one of the blocks and slide it from the top to the bottom so that I could see where it was uneven. When you see where it is uneven, you know how to adjust your plank so that it becomes even. It is very important that you even it out before adding the other planks.Once you even the first plank and secure it with screws, lay out the rest of the planks on top of the platform. When you lay the last plank on the opposite side, it should overlap just as the first one did, and it should be even. Make sure all of the holes in the middle planks line up with the holes in "H" (that they are lying on top of). Screw each plank to the frame using the long screws only.After you have screwed all the planks onto the frame, you should have your platform with overlapping edges. Now it is time to screw on the trim. These three pieces go on the overlapping side edges, and across the bottom. You have to lie these onto the platform and screw them in from underneath the edges. They do not have holes so do not be alarmed - that is how they are made. Once you start screwing, the screws will go into the trim without damaging it like a drill would. My son and I actually stood the platform up (vertical) for this part. Once you secure the trim onto the platform you are done.I hope this helps somebody out.

First of all, it was difficult to put this bed together. We found at least one bed piece mislabeled. For example, the directions asked for the wooden board labeled "B" and it was mistakenly labeled "E" which slows everything down and becomes highly annoying! We also found that several pieces had holes in them (for nails) that were not lined up properly. The nails that came with the bed just fell straight through those holes because they were in the wrong place! We ended up using our own nails and nailing them down to where they should have gone, which was a hassle. The end result looks terrible. This bed frame looks to large for the appropriate size mattress, which leaves lots of extra room. WISH I NEVER BOUGHT THIS JUNK. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
